It has crossed my mind that it is silly when co-performing sudden bursts of labor to say, “Ready? On three…” since inevitably your partner will respond with “Do you mean ‘one, two, three?’  Or ‘one, two, three, and then go?’”  To avoid this confusion, simply change your cue to “Ready?  From three…”  There is now no hesitation because common sense will always lead one to the conclusion that effort must begin precisely on zero:  three, two, one, go!
